HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Hattiesburg police are investigating an incident where a Hub City man was set on fire.
"Around 1 a.m. Saturday, police were dispatched to Forrest General Hospital in reference to a subject there suffering from burns that occurred in the 500 block of Ruby Avenue," said Hattiesburg Police Lt. Jon Traxler.
Traxler added that investigators spoke with the victim, and that the two men connected with the crime were at his residence when the incident occurred.
"The victim advised that two black men poured gasoline on him and set him on fire," said Traxler. "The victim advised they were able to call a relative who came and took them to the hospital."
The victim was air lifted to the burn center in Jackson, where their condition is not known at this time.
