Petal police investigating armed robbery

PETAL, MS (WDAM) -

Petal police are investigating an armed robbery at a Subway restaurant.

Officers received a call at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and reported to the restaurant located at 121 W. Central Avenue.

Officers said the suspect was a black man, who was wearing black clothing with a red bandana covering his head and face, leaving only his eyes visible.

The suspect approached one of two employees present, brandished a semi-automatic pistol and demanded money. He fled on food headed east toward Walgreens.

No customers were present at the time of the incident. No injuries have been reported and no arrests have been made at this time.
