Brother charged in retired teacher's murder out of jail

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The brother charged in a retired teacher's murder is out of jail, according to representatives with the Hattiesburg Municipal Court.

Gus Georgian, who was due in court Friday at 1 p.m., had his preliminary hearing waived and was given an unsecured bond of $100,000.

Gus had to surrender his passport, wear an electronic monitor, and is not allowed to leave the state of Mississippi.

Gus is charged with the murder of his sister Ann Georgian, who was found dead in a wooded area off of Hardy Street on Sept. 3.
