HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

The Hattiesburg police have charged a second person in connection to the murder of a retired teacher.

According to Lt. Jon Traxler, Public Information Officer with the Hattiesburg Police Department, Pamela Hamilton of Hattiesburg was charged with hindering prosecution.

Traxler also said the missing dog was located and is safe.

"Due to the ongoing investigation the location of the dog is not being released at this time," Traxler said. "We are still awaiting the official autopsy to be able to release that information."

Howard Ezell, a friend of Ann's who was there the day they identified the body, said in an exclusive interview with Seven On Your Side that Hamilton is Ann's cousin.

Ezell also confirmed that Gus, Ann's brother who was charged with her murder, was at the house the day Ezell made the call to police.

"He did not kill his sister," Ezell said. "She took care of all his business affairs and took care of him. Gus would never do something like that."

This is a developing story. More information will be reported as it becomes available.
