HPD looking for armed robbery suspect

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

The Hattiesburg Police Department is looking for a suspect involved in an armed robbery early Sunday morning.

HPD responded to reports of an armed robbery at the Golden Eagle Express on 208 N. 38th Avenue.

While on scene, the gas station manager told deputies that when he was locking the door to close, an unknown man forced his way into the gas station. He displayed a handgun and demanded money, according to HPD.

After the suspect assaulted the manager, the manager complied and the suspect fled on foot. The manager had minor injuries.
