Hattiesburg Junior Dixie Boys Celebrate World Series Win

HATTIESBURG, MS -

The 13-and-under Junior Dixie Boys held their banquet on Sunday at the Jackie Dole Center, recognizing the team’s 2016 World Series team.

The 17 players represented Hattiesburg this summer in which they went 9-0, won the State Championship and went on to win the World Series in Pineville, Louisiana.

These kids aren’t just skilled the diamond tough, some of them may have a career in television.

    Following a school-record 55 wins and run that ended in an 8-7 loss in the NJCAA national championship, Jones County Junior College softball is eager to open the 2018 season on February 3. Coming that close to the school’s first national title serves as motivation enough for the Lady Bobcats. Regardless, expectations are always high for coach Chris Robinson’s teams – JCJC is a combined 105-12 the last two seasons.
