HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

As of 8:45 a.m. Friday, the government has rested the case against Hattiesburg Pastor Kenneth Fairley.

Now the defense will begin to call witnesses, beginning with Jonathan Brown, a Fort Lauderdale city employee who deals with Housing and Urban Development dollars.

As of the end of the third day of the trial, six witnesses had been called by the government to testify. Audio recordings between Fairley and Artie Fletcher were also played as part of the case against Fairley.
