Laurel man arrested in stabbing

LAUREL, MS (WDAM) - A Laurel man is behind bars for an aggravated assault charge after stabbing someone in August, according to the Laurel Police Department.

James Greenfield, 28, was arrested in connection to an incident that happened in the 1700 block of south 11th Avenue on Aug. 19.

According to LPD, Greenfield stabbed the victim in the lower portion of the abdomen.

Greenfield made his initial appearance in Laurel Municipal Court Wednesday, where Judge Kyle Robertson set his bond at $75,000.
