HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

NFL Hall of Famer Brett Favre will join First Priority of South Mississippi’s second annual “Sporting Clays Challenge” on Thursday.

“First Priority has been here for 18 years and works with the churches as well as the local high school campuses,” Favre said. “It’s helped a lot of kids along the way so this is just one way of raising money."

The event will be a shotgun start, with registration starting at 7:30 a.m., and will follow immediately by the morning flight and the afternoon flight starting at 12:30 p.m.

Favre will be there to support First Priority and take pictures with the teams.

“I’ll be out there for a little bit,” Favre said. “Whether you like it or not, I’ll be taking a few pictures, maybe I’ll shoot once or twice, that’s not my cup of tea. But we do hope and encourage everyone to come out and support it.”

If you would like to participate, team registration is $800 and $250 for individuals.

All proceeds will help further the ministry of First Priority of South Mississippi.

The event will take place at 1937 Evelyn Gandy Parkway, Hattiesburg, MS 39402
