To help boost the nation’s blood supply after a particularly challenging summer, Governor Phil Bryant has proclaimed September 10 as Mississippi Blood Donation Day.
New blood donors are needed every day to replace those who can no longer donate, however blood centers are seeing fewer people step forward to roll up their sleeves.
Blood banks across the country have teamed up to reverse the decline in new blood donors and to encourage active blood donors to continue donating on a regular basis.
Please be a part of saving lives by donating blood on Mississippi Blood Donation Day, on September 10 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 pm., at United Blood Services in Hattiesburg located at 805 S. 28th Avenue .
You can make a convenient appointment to give blood at bloodhero.com or by calling 601-264-0743. All donors will receive a 9/11 Never Forget Commemorative T-shirt, while supplies last. Find the Hero in YOU. Donate blood three times a year with United Blood Services.
