LAMAR COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

Two men face charges in connection with a Lamar County home invasion.

Daviam Brown and Devonta Presley, both 17 and of Hattiesburg, were arrested at the Boardwalk at Dewberry Landing apartment complex Sunday.

According to Lamar County Sheriff Danny Rigel, the invasion took place on the 100 block of West Hills Drive at roughly 1 p.m.

According to Rigel, four black males entered the home wearing masks and tied up the residents. The suspects left in a gold Cadillac with a television and the cell phones of the residents.

According to Lt. Jon Traxler from Hattiesburg Police, officers were told at 1 p.m. that the suspects were in the area of 22 Campbell Scenic Drive.

Police found the vehicle and the suspects fled on foot.

An apartment resident named Dylan Ingram said he was surprised that something like this would happen where he lives.

"I pulled up at the apartment complex coming back from the mall and there was about 10 cop cars and a guy on the ground," said Ingram.

According to Traxler, Presley entered an occupied vehicle and forced the driver to leave at gunpoint. He was taken into custody after exiting the vehicle and faces car jacking charges.

One woman was visiting her grandchildren when she saw the whole scene unfold.

"It was scary and our adventure for the day and I hope that's it," said Pam Haigler.

Brown is charged with with armed robbery and armed home invasion.

Authorities are still searching for the others involved in the home invasion.
