HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Hattiesburg police are asking for the public’s help in solving a Tuesday night domestic aggravated assault incident.

Around 6:20 p.m. police were dispatched to a home in the 700 block of Tuscan Avenue according to police officials.

“When officers arrived the victim advised that her husband had gotten into an argument with her about family issues,” said Hattiesburg Police Lt. Jon Traxler. “The victim advised that her husband began to assault her and choke her.”

Traxler added that the victim was able to get free from him and left to go to a family member’s house.

When officers arrived, the suspect had left the scene, and the suspects name is not being released at this time.
