1 injured in Hub City shooting, investigation ongoing

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Hattiesburg police are asking for the public’s help in solving a Tuesday shooting that injured a person in the Hub City.

According to Hattiesburg Police Lt. Jon Traxler, the shooting occurred at 3814 Eagle Drive, but the victim arrived at Forrest General Hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound.

“When officers arrived at the hospital, the victim advised that they were brought in and dropped off by two black males,” said Hattiesburg Police Lt. Jon Traxler. “Officers responded to the address on Eagle Drive and located a crime scene that was processed.”

Traxler added that no one had any information as to who did the shooting at the time of the report.

The victim is listed in critical by stable condition at Forrest General according to Traxler.
