Jasper County man arrested for selling meth

JASPER COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

The Jasper County Narcotic Investigators, along with Jones County Sheriff's Departments K-9 unit, responded to a residence in Soso on Monday, to execute an arrest warrant on Johnny Steven Crews aka "Hootie Crews."

The warrant was issued after an investigation on Crews selling methamphetamine in Jasper County.

Johnny Crews was taken into custody and transported to the Jasper County Sheriff's Department and charged with one count of sale of a controlled substance.

Johnny Crews' bond was set at $30,000 by Judge Marvin Jones.

Crews also has a felony warrant through Jones County Sheriff's Department and MDOC for probation violation.

He is currently being held at the Jasper County Jail.
