CPSC issues recall of Safety 1st strollers

UNDATED (WDAM) - More than 25,000 Safety 1st strollers are being recalled in North America because of a fall hazard.

The recall involves Step and Go travel systems sold under the Safety 1st brand and manufactured by Dorel Juvenile.

The firm says the stroller tray folding mechanism can disengage on one side when used with an infant car seat attached to the stroller, posing a fall hazard.

The company has received 30 reports of incidents. No injuries have been reported.

Safety 1st can be reached toll-free at 1-866-762-3036 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday -- or online at www.safety1st.com and click on "Safety Notices".
