HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Former Hattiesburg Public School District Superintendent James Bacchus has been hired as the principal of Forest Hill High School in Jackson.

The Jackson Public School District sent a statement to WDAM-TV saying,

“The Jackson Public School District is elated to have Mr. James Bacchus as the leader of Forest Hill High School. His wealth of knowledge and experience as an educator, leadership as an administrator, and motivator will be extremely beneficial and impactful to the employees, parents, and scholars of Forest Hill. He is also a great mentor for new teachers and those early in their careers. Bacchus resigned as Hattiesburg Public School District superintendent last December amidst a financial crisis.
