SEMINARY, MS (WDAM) - The Seminary Police Department took a trip to Baton Rouge to help out flood victims.
A group of 10 people spent the day handing out supplies to people in need. The group met up with Temple Baptist Church in Louisiana and traveled to several neighborhoods giving out flood donations. Chief Michael Kelly said he is glad the police department could help out.
"Us in Mississippi can do what Mississippians do," Kelly said. "We can serve, and we can love, and we can give and support our neighbors to the west."
The department will take another trip to Baton Rouge on Saturday and will be accepting more donations.
