JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

The Jones County woman wanted on embezzlement charges appeared in court Thursday morning.

Lacey Kelley Dickerson made her initial appearance in court where her bond was set at $25,000.

Authorities said Dickerson took a large amount of money from her employer to pay on her personal accounts.

Dickerson spoke with Jones County Sheriff’s Department Investigators on Aug. 1, according to JCSD.

The meeting ended with the understanding that an arrest warrant would be issued and she was to turn herself in.

According to JCSD, after several days of dodging authorities, Dickerson was given until noon on Wednesday, Aug. 10, to turn herself in.

Deputies said Dickerson did not show at the given time.

After an extensive search, Dickerson’s attorney contacted Investigators and confirmed she would appear on Thursday, Aug. 11.
