LAUREL, MS (WDAM) - Bond has been set for a man charged with aggravated assault/domestic violence.
John Logan, 28 of Laurel, made his initial appearance in court Monday afternoon where a judge set his bond at $15,000.
On Saturday morning, a Jones County deputy saw a woman running toward him from a parked car at a gas station on Chantilly Street. The woman's face was bloodied, and she appeared to have been assaulted, according to JCSD.
The deputy called for assistance, and the victim also said her husband had beaten her.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The victim said the argument started over a song and escalated during a ride home from Hattiesburg to Laurel. She also said Logan had punched her in the chest and face, according to officials.
According to JCSD, Logan was arrested on scene and taken to the Jones County Adult Detention Center.
