PERRY COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - An Ovett man is behind bars facing drug charges after a welfare call led authorities to drugs.

Brandon Bradshaw, 38, was arrested Saturday night and charged with possession of a controlled substance (meth).

"The Perry County Sheriff's Office received a Crime Stoppers tip in reference to illegal drug activity and welfare concern on Cole Road, north of Runnelstown," said Perry County Sheriff Mitch Nobles.

Authorities recovered over 10 grams of crystal meth and other drug paraphernalia.

"This is just another example of what we can do when the community gets involved and helps let us know what is going on in their community," Nobles said.

Bradshaw is currently being housed in the Perry County Jail.
