LAMAR COUNTY, MS -

Some people in Lamar County have come up with a relaxing way to help homeless pets in our area.

They participated in a community yoga class Saturday to raise money for the Hub City Humane Society.

It took place at Avara Yoga in Oak Grove.

Owner and teacher Meghan Fisher holds a free class once a month to give back to the community.

"(Yoga is) linking breath to motion," said Fisher. "So, that's the one thing I would say yoga really stresses versus other exercises you could add, it's bringing breath work into each movement you do."

Last month, another community class raised funds for a girl's mission home in Nicaragua.
