HPD receives grant to help with DUI programs

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The city of Hattiesburg recently received a $68,000 grant from the Mississippi Office of Highway Safety.

The grant aims to reduce the number of alcohol impaired crashes and increase the number of DUI arrests in the city.

Strategies include enhanced DUI enforcement during key holiday weekends as well as education outreach activities such as the "drive sober or get pulled over" campaign.
