PURVIS, MS (WDAM) - A Purvis teen has been charged with child exploitation after an investigation by the Attorney General's Cyber Crime Unit.
Jonathan Thomas Davis, 18, was arrested Tuesday at his home.
Investigators executed a search warrant at the defendant's home following an investigation of online activity, according to the release issued by Attorney General Jim Hood's office.
Davis was booked into the Forrest County Detention Center.
If convicted, he faces up to 40 years in prison and a $500,000 fine.
This case will be prosecuted by Special Assistant Attorney General Brandon Ogburn of the Attorney General's Cyber Crime Unit.
