Authorities search for Jones Co. inmate who walked off work detail

JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

This is a news release from the Jones County Sheriff's Department. 

 In the late morning hours of August 2, 2016 an inmate of the Jones County Adult Detention Center walked off a work detail at Merchants Park in Ellisville. 

William Fred Marshall, 46 of Laurel, walked off a trustee work detail.  The search for him continues in Jones and parts of Forrest Counties.  Marshall is described as 5’9 white male, approximately 160 pounds, with grey hair.  He is heavily tattooed on his neck and chest area.

It is believed Marshall may be traveling with a female.  As this search continues, more information could be forthcoming.
