HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The folks from Fieldhouse for the Homeless received some help from a local restaurant Monday.
Buffalo Wild Wings recently remodeled and just before they started to make those updates, the restaurant sold all of their tables and chairs.
It raised nearly $900, and that money was used to buy supplies to make over 200 "blessing bags." The "blessing bags" contain hygiene and grooming products for people at the shelter.
The restaurant is also donating 20 percent of Monday's sales toward a women's shelter that will be built in the future.
"We just really want to be a part of the community, we want to do what's important to the people that are here and Fieldhouse has really grown in the last two years, and so that's where we felt that the money needed to go from anything that we raise from here," Buffalo Wild Wings General Manager Sasha Pitts said.
