HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

A Monday morning domestic dispute in the Hub City landed a husband and wife behind bars.

“Around 8 a.m. officers responded to the 300 block of Geneva Street in reference to a domestic disturbance,” said Hattiesburg Police Lt. Jon Traxler. “When officers arrived they found two victims who were also the suspects in the domestic dispute.”

Those two were identified as Donald and Patricia Betts, both of Hattiesburg.

Donald, 41, was arrested and charged with felony aggravated domestic violence, and Patricia, 31, was arrested and charged with domestic violence, simple assault, which is a misdemeanor.

“Donald had minor injuries on him and the other suspect, Patricia had strangulation marks on her neck,” said Traxler. “Due to the information taken at the scene and the signs of abuse, both were arrested and charged.”

Both are currently being housed at the Forrest County Jail.
