HPD searching for 'person of interest' in armed robbery

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Hattiesburg police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a 'person of interest' in a Hub City armed robbery.

According to Hattiesburg Police Lt. Jon Traxler, the incident occurred at 3610 Campbell Drive on July 9.

“This is a person we are trying to identify that is a person of interest in the armed robbery that occurred on Campbell Drive,” said Traxler.

According to a press release from the police department, the male drives a blue Chevrolet Caprice with no tag, and he possibly resides in Prentiss.

The investigation is ongoing, and if  anyone has any information on the whereabouts of the person of interest, contact Hattiesburg Police or Metro Crime Stoppers at 601-582-STOP.
