LAUREL LITTLE THEATRE
Disney's
"BEAUTY AND THE BEAST"
July 28-31 and August 5-7

Disney's big hit musical, the 9th longest-running show in Broadway history, comes to Laurel Little Theatre in a full-length production with beautiful costumes, outstanding sets and a huge cast.

This is the season-opener for LLT's 56th annual season - "There's a LITTLE THEATRE in all of us!"

SHOW & TICKET INFO

Performances run at LLT's Downtown Arabian Theatre for two weekends:  July 28-29-30 at 7:30p.m., July 31 at 2p.m., August 5 at 7:30p.m., August 6 at both 2p.m. and 7:30p.m. and finally on August 7 at 2pm.

The LLT reservation line opens July 21st and answers 24 hours a day on both show weeks at 601.428.0140.

This is the full length production of the musical and children attending must be 4 and up.  Everyone coming in must have a ticket regardless of age.

Single tickets are $17-adults, $15-students/seniors, $10-children 4-8 years old, no children under 4.

A better deal is one of LLT's 4-punch season tickets that allows you to see each of the four productions of the year - or you can punch up to two times on any one production and have two punches left for later in the season.

Those 4-punch season tickets run $35-students/seniors, $40-adults, $70-two adults, $125-family of four.  That makes for a savings of over 40% with an average of just $7-$10 per punch.

HIGH TEA WITH "BELLE" AND THE CAST

LLT and the YWCO are holding a "High Tea With Belle" before three of the performances.  Tea Party attendees will be treated with sandwiches, sweets and tea; an enchanted rose of their own; a photo with "Belle" and a meet and greet with the cast; tickets to the show and first choice of seating at the Arabian.

The three High Teas will be on Saturday, July 30th at 6 p.m. and then two on Saturday, August 6th - at 12:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.  Tickets are $30 (with a discounted price of $20 for LLT's season ticket holders.)  Reservations need to be made at 601.428.0140.

THE STORY OF THE SHOW

Based on a French fairy tale, "BEAUTY AND THE BEAST" tells the story of a prince who was transformed into a hideous beast as punishment for his cruel ways, and an adventurous young woman named Belle, who must see him for what he really is, and fall in love with him so that he can become 'human' again.

The 1991 animated movie set a record as Disney's must successful, and it won a Golden Globe for Best Film, as well as two Academy Awards.

Early next year, Disney will be releasing a brand new live-action feature movie with an all-star cast including Emma Watson, Luke Evans, Emma Thompson, Ewan McGregor, Ian McKellen, Kevin Kline, Josh Gad and Stanley Tucci.  Filming is already completed and it's being edited now for a March 2017 release.

The Broadway version of the musical was Disney's first show in NYC and ran for 5,461 performances over a 13 year stretch.

Come "Be Our Guest" and see Gaston and the Beast fight for the attention of the beautiful Belle in this enchanting and exciting show.  All the favorite characters like Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts and Chip will be there as well.

Director Lacy Cockrell has her cast in the middle of the two month rehearsal process and it looks to be an outstanding production for LLT.  It's sure to be one of the theatre's biggest season openers ever and will sell out all performances, so make sure to call in your reservations early on show week.
