HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The city of Hattiesburg and Lamar County are teaming up to help ease traffic congestion along U.S. 98.
"You all know as well as I do, during peak hours traffic gets pretty heavy on 98 and coming off 98 to Lincoln Extension," ADP Project Manager Alex Doleac said.
The two-phase project will three-lane Hegwood Road from U.S. 98 to Lincoln Road Extension.
The project estimated to show that phase one could cost roughly $328,500 and phase two could cost $101,400.
City and county officials said during a Hattiesburg City Council meeting their support for the project in working together to make the community a better place.
