HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The group of 27 young ladies in this year's Miss Hospitality pageant took time from their busy pageant week to bring a few smiles to patients at Forrest General Hospital Tuesday.
The girls were greeted by Public Relations Coordinator Michael Marks who treated them to a lunch and a few of the girls got to make a stop at the hospital's rehabilitation department to greet a few patients.
The winner of the pageant will go on to represent the state as Mississippi's goodwill ambassador for hospitality and tourism.
"And If I was able to represent Mississippi I would love to promote this state and just go out to each community and spread the love that Mississippi offers," said Katelynn McGowen, Miss Ellisville.
The girls also made a stop at the ARC and met with some of the children there.
The Miss Hospitality Pageant is this Saturday night at the Saenger Theater in downtown Hattiesburg.
