Forrest General's Spirit of Women and the University of Southern Mississippi will host their annual "Football 101: Chalk Talk for Ladies" event. Kick the season off right at the Eighth Annual "Football 101" on Tuesday, July 26 at 6 p.m. at Giannini Touchdown Terrace at The Rock on the campus of Southern Miss. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite Southern Miss apparel and comfortable shoes!

Come meet the new Southern Miss Head Football Coach Jay Hopson and enjoy an evening of food, fun and football! Learn more about Coach Hopson as he talks about the ins-and-outs of Southern Miss football and his plans for the season with the Golden Eagles.

Start the season off in style by getting a first-hand look at the latest in Southern Miss fan apparel including a fashion show. All attendees will have a chance to run through the goal posts and have a photo made with Coach Hopson. Tailgating food, the opportunity to purchase Southern Miss merchandise, a unique event t-shirt, meet-and-greet with the Southern Miss cheerleaders and Seymour, door prizes and more will contribute to make a winning event!

Cost to attend is $25 for Spirit of Women and Eagle Club members or $35 for non-members, which includes a catered dinner. Limited space is available. Deadline for registration is July 22. All those registered by July 15 will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win an autographed football by Coach Hopson, four tickets and Eagle Village passes to the Homecoming game. Attendees must register by July 15 to receive a t-shirt at the event. Register after that time and a shirt will be mailed.
