Police Chief: Tip from public leads to arrest of wanted man

LAUREL, MS (WDAM) -

According to The Laurel Police Chief, tips from the public led to the arrest of a wanted man. 

Gregory Nix Jr. was wanted for domestic assault. 

Nix was taken into custody on South 17th Avenue and faces six counts of felony domestic assault and one count of aggravated domestic assault. 

Nix made his initial appearance Friday in court where a judge set his bond at a total of $185,000 ($150,000 for felony domestic assault charge and $35,000 for the aggravated domestic assault charge).
