HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

The suspects wanted in connection to an armed robbery and kidnapping case in Hattiesburg are in custody.

Desmond Lang, the third suspect who was sought over the weekend, surrendered to authorities at a relative's house in Hattiesburg Wednesday morning.

Lang was interviewed by detectives and released a short time later.

According to Hattiesburg Police Lt. Detective Branden McLemore, Lang didn't have any involvement in the case and no charges were filed.

The investigation is ongoing and other arrests are pending according to McLemore.

Previous arrests:

Two other suspects involved in the crime were arrested last week.

According to Hattiesburg police, Darrion Strickland, a juvenile, was charged as an adult with robbery.

Spencer Adams, 18, was charged with armed car-jacking, two counts of kidnapping and two counts of armed robbery.

The scene:

"The incident happened in the afternoon hours of June 8 and was reported to Hattiesburg Police that night," Hattiesburg Police Department Lt. Detective Branden McLemore said.

The incident allegedly occurred on The Longleaf Trace, which is just off West 4th Street.

"The victims stated they were held at gunpoint, taken in a car and driven to an ATM to withdraw money, they were let out north of the city limits and picked up by a Forrest County Deputy," McLemore said.

The vehicle that was used was a 2003 white four-door Hyundai Elantra, according to McLemore.

"This is something that we have been working on and exhausting our resources to solve," McLemore said.
