LAUREL, MS (WDAM) -

It has been a busy last few months for Ben and Erin Napier, the Laurel couple who are stars of the new HGTV reality series, "Home Town."

It is a show about home renovation.

Season One, which includes 10 episodes, is currently being filmed in Laurel.

"The filming is going really good, we're working on ten houses in Laurel," said Ben Napier. "But, it's been a lot of fun, we love our team we've been working with, we love our construction team, so that really makes it easy for us."

On Friday morning, for the first time, the Napiers were interviewed live from their W. 7th Street home by more than two dozen different television stations across the country.

They shared tips on budget-friendly backyard projects and gardening trends.

The Napiers said they're excited about progress on the show and hope it will shine a positive light on the people of Laurel and South Mississippi.

"I'm a little bit wary of loss of my privacy and loss of normalcy because of (the show), but we have this opportunity, there's no way we could say no, when we could make such a huge impact for our city and state," said Erin Napier.

The first episodes of Season One will air in early 2017.
