VIDEO: Texas man sent to hospital after 18-wheeler wrecks, catches fire in Laurel

LAUREL, MS (WDAM) -

A Texas man was transported to a local hospital after his 18-wheeler wrecked Tuesday night in Laurel. 

According to Captain Tommy Cox with the Laurel Police Department, the man lost control of his vehicle on I-59 near the south 4th avenue exit.

According to Cox, shortly after the man exited his truck, it caught on fire. 

The accident happened around 8 p.m. 

There is no word on the man's condition at this time.
