LAUREL, MS (WDAM) -

A new photo exhibit at Lauren Rogers Museum of Art is focusing on America's national parks.

"America the Beautiful: The Monumental Landscapes of Clyde Butcher" features nearly 60 large-scale, black and white photographs.

Many of them showcase the natural beauty of the Florida Everglades.

Museum Director George Bassi said the museum is proud to host the exhibit, especially since this year mark's the centennial of the National Park Service.

"(Butcher) went from doing just works in Florida to really documenting spaces all over this country, so it's a wonderful exhibit," he said.

The exhibit runs through Sept. 4.
