Three charged in Jasper County for drug sale

JASPER COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

The following information is provided by the Jasper County Sheriff's Department.

On June 3, 2016 at approximately 8:49 a.m., Jasper County Narcotic Investigators and The Mississippi Bureau of Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) conducted a Narcotic arrest/search warrant at the Gwens Country Store located at 4289 Highway 15 in Louin.

The warrant was initiated after a lengthy investigation of the sale of controlled substance from the business.

The owner of the business, Marcus D. Quince, was charged with three counts of sale of controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a church, possession of a controlled substance while in possession of a firearm and possession of a firearm while being a convicted felon.

Ricky James Trunnell was charged with three counts of sale of controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a church.

Justin Demond Caraway was charged with one count of sale of controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a church.

The three subjects are currently being held at the Jasper County Jail awaiting there initial appearance before Judge Marvin Jones.
