LAMAR COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

A pair of men are behind bars facing drug charges after a drug bust by the Lamar County Sheriff’s Department.

Douglas Keith Harford Jr., 53, was charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance (meth), according to Lamar County Sheriff Danny Rigel.

James Kevin Sims, 36, was also arrested and charged with one count of sale of a controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and burglary.

Members of the Lamar County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Unit and deputies made the arrests Wednesday afternoon at a home on Continental Drive, just off West Hills Drive.

Both Harford and Sims were denied bond during their initial appearances and are housed in the Lamar County Jail.
