On Tuesday Jasper County Narcotics Investigator Derick Knight attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a small black passenger car at the intersection of Highway 15 and Edmond King Road for a traffic violation.

The vehicle was operated by Scotty Shay House of Bay Springs.

When House refused to pull over, Investigator Knight initiated a vehicle pursuit.

The pursuit continued through downtown Bay Springs where he was eventually apprehended on Highway 18 at Highway 531.

Investigator Knight was then assisted by other JCSD deputies and the Bay Springs Police Department.

House was taken into custody for Felony Fleeing and other traffic violations.

He was also charged for Aggravated Assault on an Officer after House rammed Investigator Knights vehicle during the pursuit.
