LAUREL, MS (WDAM) - A second trailer for the new movie, Free State of Jones has sparked new interest in the story of Newt Knight and Jones County during the Civil War.
Retailers are taking advantage by offering lots of products related to the film and the history of the county.
You can buy various books on the subject and also T-shirts.
There is even Free State of Jones Decaf coffee.
Stores like Southern Antiques in Laurel are selling those and other related products.
"I feel like there's this huge excitement around Laurel and Jones County right now that people are just becoming more aware of what a treasure we have, that we live in and it's creating this sense of hometown pride," said Dawn Trest, manager of Southern Antiques.
The movie is set to hit theaters June 24.
