MARION COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

A Marion County woman is behind bars and facing a $1 million bond in connection to the murder of her boyfriend.

Dinarsha Shack, 33, was arrested late Sunday night in the Lampton Community of Marion County. She was charged with murder in the death of her boyfriend Fabian Kelly.

Kelly, 30, was found on the side of Edna Road around 6:15 Saturday morning.

"Fabian was struck by a vehicle that was apparently driven by Shack," Marion County Sheriff's Investigator Jamie Singley said.

The body was sent to the state crime lab for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

Marion County authorities contacted the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations to assist in the case as well as members of the crime scene unit to help process the scene.

"They were visiting a relative that lived on Edna Road, the best that we know right now, and they left and an altercation occurred and Kelly was run over by the vehicle," Singley said.

According to investigators, the vehicle that was possibly used was a green Ford Explorer.

"We found the vehicle when we got Shack, and that vehicle is being sent to the state crime lab for processing so we can see what evidence can be recovered," Singley said.

The investigation is ongoing.
