HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

The ARC Showstoppers performed on the big stage at the Saenger Theater for the first time on Saturday night.

People from all ages rocked the stage with their costumes and Broadway show tunes. They sang songs from several musicals like "Hairspray," "The Little Mermaid" and "Frozen." The group has been practicing for three months, and the show sold hundreds of tickets.

ARC Director Cindy Pennington said this performance was a dream come true for everyone.

"They love singing, and they love dancing. They want to be a part of show choir and the things going on like everybody else, and it's just a dream for them to be on the community stage," Pennington said.
