This is a news release from the Mississippi Development Authority

On May 26, Mississippi Development Authority’s Procurement Technical Assistance Program will host “Lunch & Learn: Doing Business with Lockheed Martin” for Mississippi’s small vendors and contractors. The workshop will be held from noon to 3 p.m. at Mississippi State University’s Meridian Campus in the Khalmus Auditorium, located at 1000 Hwy. 19 North in Meridian, Miss.

Lockheed Martin representatives will be on hand to inform participants how to market their capabilities in order to secure contracts with the company. Participants will have the opportunity to meet with Lockheed representatives to learn more and present their business to the company.

“Lockheed Martin is a respected member of the state’s business community and a significant contributor to Meridian’s economy,” said Mississippi Procurement Technical Assistance Program manager Carol Harris. “This workshop is an excellent way for Mississippi’s small businesses to take advantage the opportunities available to partner with this industry leader.”

Lockheed Martin is seeking business partnerships in the areas of commodities, information technology, machine parts manufacturing, fiber optic cabling, outboards and more. The company also seeks professional services such as telecommunication, transportation, staffing, training, security and legal services. Businesses with ISO certifications and Aerospace Industries Association standards certifications are encouraged to attend.
