Mississippi’s most popular baby names of 2015

MISSISSIPPI (WDAM) -

How many ways can you spell Aiden, London or Aubrey? Well, there’s more than one way to slice it in the Magnolia State’s top 25 baby names for boys and girls of 2015. 

The U.S. Social Security Administration has a database of popular baby names by state that have been collected since 1960. 

The tables show the 100 most frequent names given to male and female births in each state and year. According to the SSA, this data is 100 percent based on social security card application data.

For 2015, Mississippi parents named their kin with some traditional names as well as more modern names with interesting spellings. Top male birth names included classics such as Noah, John and James, while top female birth names seem derived by American pop culture—Kloe, Zoey and Londyn.
