LAMAR COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

An Oak Grove High School teacher is being investigated by the district for inappropriate behavior.

“Allegedly, we had a teacher that got mad at some seniors and slid a desk across the room and cursed,” said Lamar County Superintendent Tess Smith.

Smith said the teachers name is being withheld, due to the ongoing investigation.

The principal and the district are handling the investigation; however at this time, the teacher is still teaching at the school, according to Smith.

“We are investigating the matter just as inappropriate behavior at this time, once that investigation is complete, we will go from there with the proper action if it is necessary,” said Smith.
