COLLINS, MS (WDAM) -

Thousands of visitors are expected to come to Covington County this Saturday for the 27th annual Okatoma Festival.

It begins with a 5K run at 8 a.m. and will have more than 200 arts and crafts vendors and live music on two stages throughout the day in Collins.

A parade will also take place at 10:30 a.m.

Special guest this year is Mount Olive native and Miss Mississippi Hannah Roberts.

"It brings a lot of people from outside our county to come in and see the quality of life that we have," said Marie Shoemake, executive director of the Covington County Chamber of Commerce. "It also has a very big economic impact on our community."

The festival began as a "Look Around Mississippi" project sponsored by the Mississippi Economic Council.
