A wanted fugitive is behind bars after a high-risk search warrant this evening in Perry County.
Kenneth Hogan Smith, 25, of Pineallas County, Florida was arrested at a residence in the Dykes Chapel Community of Perry County.
“He was reported staying at a residence in Perry County, with the help of Lamar County, Richton Police and Perry County Deputies, we were able to take him into custody,” said Perry County Sheriff Mitch Nobles.
Smith is charged with home invasion and grant theft auto out of Florida.
“This is a wanted fugitive that was staying here in Perry County, this is a good thing to have him in custody and get him out of the county,” said Nobles.
He is currently being held at the Perry County Jail awaiting transport to Florida.
