HPD investigating armed robbery

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Hattiesburg police are investigating an armed robbery at that occurred at a Hub City business.

The incident occurred last night after 10 p.m. when an employee was leaving Hardee’s at 4964 Hardy Street.

“An employee was leaving when a white male approached with a handgun and demanded money,” Hattiesburg Police Lt. Jon Traxler said. 

The suspect then fled behind the business.

    University of Southern Mississippi sophomore guard Shonte Hailes posted her first double-double of the season Saturday afternoon with a game-high 20 points and a career-best 13 rebounds and junior swingman Megan Brown added 10 points and six rebounds in a 61-53 win over Middle Tennessee State University.
