A man accused of shooting a woman at her workplace is now in custody, according to The Jones County Sheriff's Department.
David Keyes, 44 of Covington and Jasper Counties, followed the female acquaintance to her place of employment Monday morning when an argument ensued.
Keyes then shot the victim one time and fled the scene in a silver Ford Focus rental car, according to the sheriff.
Through a series of tips, JCSD with the help of Smith and Covington Counties Sheriff's Departments located Keyes at the intersection of Ed Mayfield and Salem School road.
Keyes was taken into custody without incident.
The weapon believed to have been used in the incident was also found on his property.
Keyes has been charged with Aggravated Assault Domestic Violence and other charges are pending. His bond will be set at a later date
The victim received medical care for her injuries.
