One arrested, one sought in Jasper County auto theft case

JASPER COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Department is seeking the public’s help in finding a second suspect wanted in an auto theft case.

The sheriff’s department issued warrants for grand larceny charges on Crystal Hazelton of Stringer and Danyell Jermaine Ulmer of Heidelberg on Tuesday.

Hazelton was arrested Tuesday night without incident in the Stringer area after tips from the public led to her whereabouts. 

Ulmer is still being sought.

The suspects were wanted for stealing a 2006 Mercury Marquis that was taken from an address in the Stringer area April 12.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Ulmer and Hazelton are asked to contact the Jasper County Sheriff's Department at 601-764-2588
